I was so excited when this company finally launched in the US! My kids have not put them down since we got our set. I've talked about open-ended play on the blog and these take the cake. They are beautiful and functional.

A lot of our home school materials are play-based, but here are the things I've purchased for my kids over the years that made it through our big purge. We have minimized our home and only kept the best. Some of which we have re-purchased and given as gifts to our closest friends.

Reading and Writing

Reading and writing doesn't have to be hard. I adpoted a lot of the Montessori method and materials when it comes to this subject because the materials are just more fun than an old- fashioned work book.

Math Materials

Math seems to be a Subject that a lot of parents dread teaching. I always thought that is was hard until my eldest told me it was her favorite subject. I understand why with the Montessori materials. Order and functionality is priority with these tools.

Loft Beds

We chose the "loft" bunk beds because, with little kids, I worried about somebody falling off the top. We needed double beds in the rooms but I didn't want to encroach on their play space. The bunks give them the personal space they need while sharing a room with their sibling.

Floor Puzzles

Puzzles are so great for encouraging independent play. You know what really ruins a puzzle? A missing piece. That's why I love these Jumbo Pieces. They are easy to do play with and easy to clean up when everyone is finished. My bigs love them just as much as the littles.
